AI Analyst Capabilities
What the AI Analyst can do and how to get the most out of it.
What the AI can do
The AI Analyst has access to your backtest results, your strategy definition, and live market data (via built-in tool calls). It can explain what metrics mean, suggest parameter adjustments, interpret drawdown patterns, and answer questions about market conditions.
Example prompts: "Why is my Sharpe Ratio low despite a high win rate?" — "What does the Monte Carlo 5th percentile drawdown of 42% mean in practice?" — "Show me the current BTC funding rate."
Tool calls
The analyst has six built-in tools: fetch current price, fetch OHLCV candles, calculate RSI/MACD/Bollinger Bands, get funding rate, search news, and retrieve a user's backtest result by ID. These tools run automatically when the AI determines they are needed to answer your question.
You do not need to explicitly invoke tools. Ask a natural question and the AI decides whether to call a tool or answer from knowledge.
What the AI cannot do
The AI cannot execute trades. It cannot modify your strategy or trigger a backtest automatically. It cannot access other users' data. It cannot browse the internet beyond the news search tool.
Do not ask the AI for financial advice in the legal sense — it is an analytical assistant, not a licensed financial advisor. All outputs are for research and educational purposes.
