Bring your own key
Quant AI runs on a Bring Your Own Key model. Open Settings → AI Keys and paste an Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini key. You are billed by that provider directly at their rates.
Every other feature in the platform works without a key. Quant AI is the only surface that requires one.
Usage limits
Without your own key, usage is metered weekly: AI messages are not available on Free, 30/week on Pro and 100/week on Elite. AI-drafted strategy builds are 3/week on Pro and 7/week on Elite. Limits reset weekly and unused messages do not roll over.
Using your own key bypasses these platform-funded limits entirely — you pay the provider instead.
Storage and revocation
Keys are encrypted with AES-128 (Fernet) before they are written to storage. We never see the plaintext value after submission.
Revoking a key in Settings deletes it immediately. There is no cached copy and no recovery — you simply add a new one.
Create a scoped key with a spending cap at your provider rather than reusing a key that has broad access.
